Deep work
done alongside
the power of plants
Our liberation is interconnected.
Our freedom is interwoven. It’s time to design all systems of oppression into systems of care.
‘Uy’ skweyul,
My name is Kyrsten. I am the founder and owner of Sacred Sprout Wellness. Sacred Sprout was formed in December of 2020 following my graduation from the Community Herbalists program at Pacific Rim College. As a survivor of Child Sex Trafficking , and A former accompaniment advocate for survivors of sexualized violence, I am passionate about providing gentle, trauma informed medicine to those healing with the power of plants. I personally curate and prepare all offerings through a trauma informed lens and through deep connection with the land.
The unique skills, ways of knowing and lived experience that I bring to the table are equally as diverse and nonlinear as the modalities in which we seek healing. Working alongside sacred medicines has and continues to light my torch, guiding me through dark periods of growth, initiation and ceremony, coming out stronger and wiser on the “other side.” I take seriously the trust that others share when they incorporate a new medicine into their lives.
In the past, I have offered my services as a Community Support Worker for Children on the Autism Spectrum and I have also been a Cannabis consultant for medicinal patients seeking to learn more about the medicinal benefits of Cannabis while advocating for their right to safe medicine.
A sharing from our founder
What’s happening in the world continues to create a tremendous shift in consciousness for humanity. Some are expanding, some are contracting. For me, it has been like a period of Dieta; in which we are called to take compassionate inquiry around things such as old stories or harmful narratives, unhealthy coping patterns, social norms that drain our energy, divesting from that which does harm, etc- and we begin to strip away whats not nourishing us, our families and our community’s and we start investing in what is life giving.
This includes becoming more aware of production based narratives of capitalism, colonialism, racism, consumption and ultimately all the ways in which we show up in the world.
When we attempt to disown the harm we have endured or “just keep hustling” to appear “fixed”or “acceptable” we are doing so in a trauma response. We do this deep work and healing because individual and collective healing depends on the integration of all of our experiences.
May we all use the teachings we have been most impacted by to pave a softer path of being for ourselves and for all living things ✨💡 “Those who move towards the darkness, carry and become the light.”
